Journeys around the edges

I like edges. Maybe it’s because my family comes from a peripheral region of England, or maybe it is because I’ve never really felt like someone who ‘belonged’. There’s a whole realm of social theory in here, potentially. But it’s meant that I’m more often attracted to the oblique rather than the mainstream.

This blog is a home for such oblique views – on politics, football, music, films, actually pretty much anything – when they don’t fit into my futures blog, the next wave, or my contributions to my work blog at Kantar Consulting, as it is called these days. I also use it as a kind of ‘commonplace book‘ for quotes and notes that I pick up along the way.
